We are delighted to announce the recent approval by An Bord Pleanala of our apartment scheme on Harbour Road, Dalkey, Co.Dublin. The development will consist of 94 apartments set across two residential buildings linked by a central south-facing amenity space set in the historic coastal town of Dalkey.
The architectural design by Henry J Lyons Architects was inspired by maritime Victorian terraces found in the surrounding areas such as Dalkey, Sandycove and Dunlaoghaire. The terraces are oriented roughly parallel to the sea to maximise visual connection to the water.
One of the unique aspects of the site is its historical maritime link.There is a 19th Century ‘Spy Tower’ which offers fantastic views to the Irish Sea and back to the Dublin Mountains. This spy tower is incorporated into the design of the development and will be sensitively refurbished and lit for use by residents of the scheme.
Works are to start next week on site and we look forward to seeing this development take shape over the coming months.
